The Peacock Hotel

The Peacock Hotel in Matlock is believed to be haunted by the ghost of a young woman who died tragically here. Guests have reported hearing the sound of footsteps following them up the stairs, and some have seen her ghostly figure standing in the hallway. The ghost is said to appear more often when the hotel is near empty.
